A Missouri teenager who admitted stabbing, strangling and slitting the throat of a young neighbor girl wrote in her journal on the night of the killing that it was an "ahmazing" and "pretty enjoyable" experience -- then headed off to church with a laugh.

"I just f------ killed someone. I strangled them and slit their throat and stabbed them now they're dead. I don't know how to feel atm. It was ahmazing. As soon as you get over the "ohmygawd I can't do this" feeling, it's pretty enjoyable. I'm kinda nervous and shaky though right now. Kay, I gotta go to church now...lol."
Pretty sick...this girl is demented.

Not sick, "evil". She's a psychopath with absolutely no remorse or apathy. She should be studied like a ginnie pig and then disposed of as garbage. There is NO cure for a psychopath, as a matter of fact, they get worse with treatment. It teaches them how to react and what to say so they can continue their manipulation for continual self fulfilment. Prison will be a playground for her, she does not feel fear as any normal person would, only fear she feels is her own mortality, I say, let her feel the fear...

She deserves to spend the rest of her life getting older and older in prison, until she dies, unmourned. She took the life of an innocent girl, and laughed. Such a soulless creature does not deserve mercy, or compassion, because she would not be able to understand it.

I like your comments especially about not deserving our compassion because she won't understand compassion.

I along with millions of other would love to see the death penalty brought back everywhere. This monster does not deserve our compassion nor should she live the "life of Riley" in the prison system where a criminal lives better than the average citizen and it's at our expense.

"Life of Riley?" Let's see. You are locked into a place filled with the scum of humanity. You cannot go on vacation, or visit with friends, unless they come to visit you. Your "room" is a box with an open toilet at one end. You are told when to eat, shower, and sleep. And you know that on any given day, someone who doesn't like you, or what you're there for, will stab you and walk away, uncaring. The bed is not all that comfortable, the food is, at best, just okay, and your "room" is always subject to searches; if you've acquired something the guards don't like that day, it gets confiscated; what's more, that very object could result in more time being added to your sentence. You get some time outside, unless you're in maximum security...some of those prisoners might not see the light of day for weeks, months, or even years...and the yard is surrounded with snipers; get out of line, threaten a guard, attack another prisoner, and you could get shot for it. And that's the life, every day, every week, every month, year, decade.
Death, on the other hand, is relatively quick, and by statute, painless. I would prefer that this teenage monster get life in prison. She thought it was "fun" to murder an innocent girl. Let her go to prison for the rest of her life, and find out why it's bad to be a sociopath.

Steven, I agree with your comment. My only concern about her getting the "life" sentence is that with our system the way it is she will probably be out on parole in 10 years for "good behavior".
However, judging by her own comments she needs to "vent" her feelings or she explodes and by her own admission will kill someone. Only this time her intended victim will not be a 9 year old little girl, but rather someone with a mindset just like her own.
One constant in this world is the fact there will always be a bigger, meaner, and tougher fish in the pond. I'm hoping she meets that particular fish before her life (10 year) sentence expires.
I'm just curious as to how they came up with "2nd degree" murder. It was so obviously pre-meditated. She wrote about wanting to kill someone before hand. She joked about it before and after the fact, and then laughingly wrote that she was on her way to church afterwards. I just can't see where it gets any more "1st degree" than that.
It looks like she was offered a plea to 2nd rather than go to trial and risk a conviction on 1st degree. Proving premeditation on that particular victim may have been iffy. It doesn't say whether the journal entries written stated that she planned to kill the neighbor girl specifically or if she planned to kill someone in general. At any rate, it does save the family from going through the trial. Most times the victims family is aware of the plea deal that is to be offered beforehand. No victim or their family want to gamble on an acquittal. The prospect of almost guaranteed LWOP is much better. If the judge doesn't let them down.

That's true, but the article says her sentence was life with the possibility of parole after 10 years. I don't know.... it just seems like it's not enough punishment for the crime to me.
According to her statements and things she wrote in her diary, I got the impression that she was just looking for anybody to kill so she could see how it felt, and that little 9 year old girl was just a victim of convenience.
At least she's off the street for a few years anyway.

If I were the victim's mother I would relish the thought of this girl being back on the streets so I could have access to her.
She would wish she had gotten life without parole.
I feel for the parents of the slain girl. To have her viciously murdered to satiate the blood lust of a psychotic teen and then have to face the killer is truly hell on earth for the parents. May their daughter rest in peace and the sorrow of the parents be eased.

Unfortunately, I doubt if their sorrow will ever be eased.
What terrors can hell hold for anyone who has had their child murdered?

What causes a person to fall like this? Genetics? Demons? Poor-Mentorship? Or are some people just Born crazy?
Give her time and im pretty sure she would be killing more to "get off" on.
Different studies from different places will show different evidence that one, two or all factors 'make' a psycho/sociopath. There are some commonalities and usually they aren't discovered until after the fact. I'd be curious to read what the psych eval had to say.

Let her spend the rest of her life in solitary confinement and see how "amazing" and "enjoyable" that is.

Execute her and be done with it.

yeah, let her see how enjoyable THAT can be !!!
feeding a monster for the rest of her, or his life is not an option...better to kill them off as they are convicted...it is harsh, but it is a harsh world, made harsher still by the monsters that live in it !!!
i pray for the family of the young girl this inhuman lump of flesh killed...they are the ones doing HARD time, folks...never forget that !!!
and may God have mercy on MY soul, for feeling this way...i probably don't deserve it...but i DO need it !!!
luv,

A U.S. teenager who confessed to strangling, cutting and stabbing a 9-year-old neighbor because she wanted to know how it felt to kill someone was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison with the possibility of parole
I think the Judge made a mistake. She should have received a life sentence "without" the possibility of parole.

I think the Judge made a mistake
I agree...given the heinous nature of this crime, and the flippant attitude of the criminal, she should never be given parole, or have the possiblity for it.

Anyone at any age can be dangerous to the public. Age, ethnicity, or sex is no excuse. If she would have killed my daughter, she would have never made it to court. Now my taxes will feed this idiot until they deem her to be "normal" again.

She will never be "normal".
Normal people do not do things like this.

I just have a hard time trying to comprehend how someone so young could be so evil.
Some people are born without a conscience.
This girl is obviously one of them.
